The VPN is an IPSec connection using a DrayTek 2930 router for the ADSL and a DrayTek 3200 router at the EFM end. However, I'm unable to get speeds over this connection (tested with iperf) of anything over 600Kb or so down from the main office (traffic will pretty much always be from the main office to the remote office) The problem arises when these mobile user connect via Draytek Smart VPN client (Ver 4.0.0.3). If the user connects via “IPsec Tunnel” option, I can ping the file server, or any other PC on the LAN, but I cannot actually connect to the share via its name (or to any PC via its name). It’s pretty straight forward to deploy and at its core is just a SSTP and/or IPSEC/L2TP VPN. It’s an “always on” CPN that your users will not need to mess with. Even if you don’t want to go with Direct Connect using a Windows server for a VPN endpoint for (Domain joined) clients brings a lot of benefits.
