If they block sites by name then you may find a proxy that isn't blocked that will redirect you to Facebook. Go in the Principal's office and ask how theirs is set up.

I totally get that Facebook has a lot of rights whenever we upload an image to Facebook, and that they can do a whole lot with the data we put into Facebook, but I don't, can't, won't believe that they can skim through my computer to view my files without my consent.
